Damaged Jackets

Occasionally we receive inventory from our vendors that doesn’t pass our meticulous quality control, so we offer these items at a discounted price.

Types Of Damage

All damaged jacket inventory for sale on Comeback Vinyl has jacket damage only and is still sealed. The vinyl records themselves are unplayed and have no damage.

Here is a list of the damage that might apply to damaged jacket inventory. Typically only one of these things will apply to a damaged jacket product, but occasionally it could be two or three of the below.

  • Corner bends (dog ear type bends)
  • Corner dings (small accordion type dings)
  • Seam splits (top and bottom)
  • Spine splits
  • Splits visible on the printed inner sleeves
  • Box cutter slices on the front or back of the jacket
  • Ripped shrink wrap (still intact enough to reasonably be considered “sealed”)
  • Scuff marks or tears on the jacket

Here are some visual examples of some of these types of damage:

    • CORNER BEND

    • SEAM SPLIT

    • SPINE SPLIT

    • INNER SEAM SPLIT
