We Buy Records

Comeback Vinyl purchases LPs through a streamlined and transparent process so you can sell your records without hassle.

What records do you buy?

We buy LPs in most genres and conditions. We do not buy 45s/7 inches, 78s, 12” singles, 8-tracks, cassettes, or CDs. We primarily focus on rock, pop, R&B, jazz, and soundtrack albums, but we also accept records from other genres such as rap, country, reggae, electronic. We generally do not purchase big band, showtunes, comedy, gospel, or classical music—as well as most records released before the 1960s. If you’re not sure if your records fit into these parameters, don’t worry. Bring them by, and we’ll still gladly take a look.

What does your buying process look like?

Come to our Brick + Mortar location between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. any day with the records you’re interested in selling—no appointment required. We do require you to leave your records with us while they’re being evaluated, and we will store them in a secure location separate from other collections and our inventory while they’re being assessed. The evaluation process typically takes no more than 7 days, but if we expect this turnaround time to be longer, we will let you know.

Once we’ve assessed your collection, we’ll contact you with an offer for some or all of your records. After receiving the offer, you will have 20 days to accept or deny the offer and collect your payment and/or unpurchased records. If we haven’t offered to purchase your whole collection but you do not wish to collect any/all of your unpurchased records, we are happy to take these off your hands and donate or dispose of them as appropriate.

If, after 20 days of the offer, payment has not been collected, the offer is null and void and any items that have not been picked up by the seller or purchased by Comeback Vinyl will become property of Comeback Vinyl without any payment issued.

How will you pay me for my records?

We pay out offers via cash (in person only, for offers less than $500), check (either in person or via mail), or store credit (digitally). Store credit offers are 10%-15% higher and can be redeemed immediately online or in store.

How do I get to your store?

Free street and deck parking is available in the area surrounding our Brick + Mortar location. If you're dropping off a larger collection or if you've called ahead, we recommend parking on the soft curb behind the store on Old Roswell Road, which is marked in yellow on the map below.

If staff is available and you're parked on this soft curb, we're happy to help you get your records inside the store, but we may not always be able to accommodate this when we're busier or have fewer people working. Friday through Monday are the days we most commonly won't be able to assist you with bringing in your collection, but we do still accept drop-offs every day we're open.

What else should I know?

  • We cannot evaluate your collection and provide an offer without assessing your records in person and onsite at our Brick + Mortar location.
  • If the total offer for your collection is $500 or more, we can only pay out via check or store credit.
  • At this time, we cannot make house calls for large collections.
  • We cannot perform appraisals for individual items or collections.
  • We cannot provide an itemized offer with line-by-line item values.
  • We do not offer consignment arrangements.
