Sam Shepherd (Floating Points) is a neuroscientist and classically trained musician who has spent the last five years writing and composing his first full length album, entitled 'Elaenia". Although this does not do it justice, the album is perhaps best described as a classic record in a genre that does not exist: it doesn't sound like any other time, or place.
