Description
The Alan Parsons Project's multi-million selling album The Turn of a Friendly Card, their celebrated prog pop tour de force, is reissued in a variety of formats, including a Limited Edition Clear Vinyl LP, half-speed remastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios.
Their 5th studio album is a concept album approaching themes of the gambling industry and the fate of gamblers. The album was a worldwide hit, achieving platinum and gold status in numerous countries. Like other Alan Parsons Project albums, there were a variety of different lead vocalists employed including Chris Rainbow, Lenny Zakatek, Elmer Gantry as well as Eric Woolfson himself. Plus, a selection of session musicians such as guitarists Ian Bairnson and David Paton and drummer Stuart Elliott with arrangements by Andrew Powell. For most APP albums Eric Woolfson had duplicate analogue tapes run on a second master machine, tapes that were hardly played. These vinyl formats were cut using high-resolution archive transfers taken from Eric Woolfson's rarely played, mint condition duplicate masters.
